Rover's Run

Rover’s Run is a strategic card game where players aim to form sets and runs to eliminate all their cards. A set consists of three or four cards of the same letter in different colors, while a run features three or more consecutive cards of the same color. To set up the game, players use a standard deck of Rover’s Run cards, dealing five cards to each player and placing the remaining cards face down as a draw pile. The top card from the draw pile starts the discard pile. Gameplay involves players drawing cards at the beginning of their turn, forming combinations of sets or runs, and using wild cards in sets or runs. Players can lay down completed sets or runs during their turn and must discard one card to conclude their turn. The hand concludes when a player successfully lays down all their cards. Points are then tallied based on the points of sets and runs laid down. Be careful because any cards that you still have in your hand will count against your score. The player with the highest score after 10 hands wins or you can play to a specific score, for example 100 points, and the player to get there first wins. Strategic tips include monitoring the discard pile, maintaining flexibility in your hand, and focusing on forming runs for more card options.
